Sunapee, New Hampshire - What a game! In a thrilling double–overtime game on Wednesday, the boys’ varsity soccer team played their second game of the season against the Epping Blue Devils. 
 From the start of the whistle, both teams displayed an aura of intensity. Tackles from both teams gave chance after chance. Ultimately both teams played intense defense, and kept the score 0-0 in the first half.
    Minutes into the first second half, a beautiful lofted crossing pass from junior striker Sam Kress fell onto the feet of junior Mason Sailor. The Lakers continued to consistently have hard, sturdy tackles to gain most of possession in the second half. Swiftly, it led to another goal off the head of Mason Sailor to put the Lakers up 2-0. 
   The Lakers continued to build passes up from their defense and send their attackers in stride. Many chances arised, but the Blue Devils bared down in the second half and tackled harder. The blue devils eventually scored two goals in the second half to tie the game 2-2. Double–overtime gave the Lakers many opportunities to score as seniors Matthew Tschudin and Vincent Borelli continued to make great passes and hard shots. The Lakers ended overtime stuck at a 2-2 tie and are 1-0-1 after two games. Friday, the Lakers will play another tough game away against the Newmarket Mules at 4 o’clock.
