Woodsville, New Hampshire - The boys’ varsity soccer team faced a tough loss against the Woodsville Engineers on Friday. 
   The Lakers struggled to keep their defense secure and left open marks. Communication lacked when it was needed and the Lakers couldn’t get behind the ball. When the Lakers did get possession they were able to find the open middle and pass up the field for a few chances. The outside mids did a great job tracking back, and opening up to the outside, but the Lakers couldn’t get behind the ball and the Engineers scored two goals against the Lakers. The Lakers trailed with their lone goal from a PK scored by junior Sam Kress. Stoppage time ran out and the boys lost 2-1 against Woodsville. A tough one, but a lot of opportunity for improvement. They are hopeful for their second game against the Engineers.The Lakers will play their next game home against Pittsfield at 4:30.
