Sunapee, New Hampshire –  The girls’ junior varsity soccer team played their second game of the season against Claremont at home on Wednesday. From the blow of the whistle, the Lady Lakers got off to a slow start. They eventually started to move on and off the ball better and it led to a few opportunities. They ended the half with a few goals against them as Claremont was successful finding the back of the net. 
   The Lady Lakers' spirits were lifted entering the second half. Their “craft” got better and slowly regained the always known Sunapee Soccer. Junior Goalie, Jenna Carron had a dozen point blank saves, and a PK save to keep Stevens to a lower scoring second half. The Lady Lakers eventually created more opportunities and chances; Eighth grader Kaitlyn Andersen had the lone goal for the evening. However, sadly our Lady Lakers fell short after a tough, fought battle against Claremont Stevens 6-1.
    “There was a lack of focus, but there were a lot of improvements in the second half in terms of the passing and movement.” says Coach Dalton. They are hoping to use this game as a learning opportunity and use this for future reference against their upcoming opponent, Franklin.
