Claremont, New Hampshire - The boys’ junior varsity soccer team had an outstanding game away against Stevens on Monday winning 3-1. They passed well, marked well and had a number of opportunities on goal from the attack.
The Lakers attacked in stride and their defense cleared balls out of the last third. Junior goalie Ben Gross made great saves to keep the Lakers going. Simple passing and communication helped senior Reece Williams put in the first goal, and eighth grader Sam holobowiczs rebounded to finish one in the first half.
In the second half, freshman Jasper Knapp played the second half of the game in goal making some big saves. Intense play and effort lead to another goal from Owen sailer. However, half way through the second half Claremont found the back of the net.
“Overall, great team effort”, said Coach Krause. Another big win for the Lakers makes them number one in their standings. The boys will play Hopkinton away on Thursday!
